  4. Datadog Synthetics$1,037/mo

Compares browser test execution only. Checkly and Datadog prices are annual-billing rates; Supercheck prices are monthly. Supercheck plans also include monitors, status pages, team seats, and AI SRE. Other vendors may price those separately, so check each vendor.

How we calculated this
  • Runs per month = checks × runs per day, over a 30-day month, from one location. Browser checks run from a single EU location, and we price every vendor for the same single-location workload. HTTP, SSL, ping and port checks do not use browser minutes. If browser checks are enabled in more locations later, each location counts as a separate run.
  • Supercheck uses the lowest-cost of Plus ($49, up to 50 monitors) and Pro ($149, up to 200 monitors) that fits your checks, plus overage after the included minutes. Browser checks share the monitor limit with HTTP, ping, and port monitors.
  • Checkly: Browser checks bill one run per execution. Plans shown at annual-billing rates. Hobby stops at 1,000 runs. Starter and Team bill $6.50 and $6.25 per 1,000 runs beyond the allowance.
  • Datadog: Browser tests bill per run at $12 per 1,000 on annual billing ($18 on-demand). One run covers up to 25 steps. No base fee shown for this product; other Datadog products are priced separately.
  • Better Stack: Playwright minutes are $1 per 100 minutes. Monitors, responders, and extra status pages are billed separately and are not included in this estimate.

* Competitor prices come from each vendor's public pricing page as of October 2026 and may change. Verify with the vendor before deciding. All trademarks belong to their owners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I try Supercheck before Cloud launches?
Yes. Explore the free live demo without signing up, or self-host the open-source core today. Cloud plans are coming soon; signups are not open yet. Join the waitlist from a plan above and we will reply when they open.
Can I self-host Supercheck?
Yes. Supercheck core is open source under AGPLv3. Self-host it on your own infrastructure with no Supercheck license cost; you pay for your own infrastructure and AI provider usage. The Cloud plans on this page are for teams that prefer a managed service.
Does one subscription cover all my projects?
Yes. Projects in an organization share one subscription, usage allowances, member limits, and spending controls, so creating another project does not require another plan. Only the organization owner manages billing.
Where do Cloud checks run?
Supercheck Cloud currently runs HTTP, SSL, ping, and port monitoring, browser synthetic checks, Playwright tests, and k6 execution in EU. US and Singapore monitoring regions are planned. Enterprise can use custom locations, and self-hosted deployments can run checks wherever you deploy.
How are browser minutes measured?
Playwright tests and synthetic monitors share the browser-minute allowance. Execution time is measured in milliseconds and rounded to four decimal places in minutes per run, with no whole-minute minimum. A five-second run uses 0.0833 minutes. Browser checks currently run from one location (EU). If they are enabled in more locations, each location adds usage, and each executed retry adds usage, including failed or canceled executions that used compute. HTTP, ping, and port checks do not use browser minutes.
How is k6 usage measured?
Each run uses peak virtual users multiplied by its duration in minutes, rounded up to a whole VU-minute. This measures peak capacity, so ramping tests can use more than their average active VU-time suggests. Review your load profile before running large tests.
How do AI credits work?
AI credits cover test generation, fixes, and failure analysis, subject to fair use. Each accepted action uses one credit, even if generation or analysis later fails. Credits have no overage charges: upgrade or wait for the next billing cycle when they run out.
What counts as an AI SRE investigation?
Each completed full investigation report uses one investigation unit. Failed or timed-out investigations and billing retries do not use units. AI SRE chat, triage, and evidence briefs do not use investigation units. A completed report does not guarantee a diagnosis or resolution.
Can I limit overage spending?
Owners and admins can set monthly spending limits and alerts, with optional blocking of new billable executions and full investigations. Basic uptime checks continue. Spending limits cover overages, not the subscription fee. In-flight usage can exceed the limit, so it is not a guaranteed invoice cap. Monitor, member, project, and status-page limits require a plan upgrade.
What happens if I exceed my limits?
Playwright minutes, k6 VU-minutes, and completed AI SRE investigations are billed at the overage rates above. AI credits are included with no overage charges. Monitor, member, project, and status-page limits require a plan upgrade rather than an overage payment.
Do unused allowances roll over?
No. Execution minutes, AI credits, and investigation allowances reset monthly on your billing date.
Can I change plans?
You can change plans through the billing portal once Cloud subscriptions are available. Review the effective date and any prorated charge before confirming.
